As the rabies plaque rages outside of the compound walls, Randi Martinez strives to ignore the torments of her past and protect her family.

They live in the Texas Hill Country compound she built for scientist Reginald Barker alongside several families. As the group learns to work together to protect the compound from the ravages of the bloodbath outside of their fences, Randi enlists the help of Ethan Burke and Mark Barker to plan in case of an invasion by Reginald's former captor, Vixen.
